音楽家、サウンド・アーティストevalaによる平面作品“Score of Presence”を展示します。
“Score of Presence”とは、evalaによる「音の出る絵画」シリーズであり、
空間音響のデータをevala独自のアルゴリズムによって視覚化したビジュアルイメージによって構成されます。
また本作は、大日本印刷と共同制作した特殊プリントと平面パネルスピーカー技術の組み合わせによって、絵画そのものから音が発せられます。
光によってブラック＆シルバーの絵画に色彩があらわれ、鑑賞角度によって多彩に変化していくこの作品は、「楽譜からこぼれたもの」に着目し、空間そのものを作曲してきたevalaによる「楽譜の提示」であり、鑑賞者自身に委ねられる“気配の再生装置”となります。

Musician and Sound artist evala’s solo exhibit dimensional work "Score of Presence".
“Score of Presence" is a series of "sound paintings" by evala, consisting of visual images created by visualizing spatial acoustic data with evala's unique algorithm.
In this work, sound is emitted from the paintings themselves through a combination of special prints and flat panel speaker technology developed in collaboration with DNP.
This work, in which colors appear in the black and silver paintings depending on the light and change in various ways depending on the viewing angle, is a "presentation of a score" by evala, who has been composing the space itself, focusing on "what spills out of the musical score," and is a "playback device of presence" that is left to the viewer himself.

音楽家、サウンドアーティスト。
新たな聴覚体験を創出するプロジェクト「See by Your Ears」主宰。立体音響を駆使した独自の“空間的作曲”によって、先鋭的な作品を国内外で発表。これまでに『大きな耳を持ったキツネ』(NTT ICC,2013, Sonar+D, Barcelona 2017)、『Our Muse』 (ACC, Gwangju Korea 2018)のほか、SONY Sonic Surf VRを用いた576ch音響インスタレーション『Acoustic Vessel Odyssey』（SXSW, Austin 2018)などを展開。
近作として、2020年「インビジブル・シネマ（耳で視る映画）」をコンセプトにした話題作『Sea, See, She ーまだ見ぬ君へ』をスパイラルホール（東京・表参道）にて世界初上映し、第24回文化庁メディア芸術祭アート部門にて優秀賞を受賞。2021年1月にリリースした空間音響アルバム『聴象発景 in Rittor Base – HPL ver』が、国際賞プリ・アルスエレクトロニカ2021 Digital Musics & Sound Art部門において、栄誉賞を受賞。
また公共空間、舞台、映画などにおいて、先端テクノロジーを用いた独創的なサウンドプロデュースを手掛けている。
大阪芸術大学音楽学科・客員教授。
NTTインターコミュニケーション・センター 「ICC アニュアル2023 ものごとのかたち」展にて、発表から10周年となる代表作品『大きな耳をもったキツネ』全4曲および『Our Muse』を再展示。（2023年6月24日(土)〜2024年1月14日(日)）

A Japanese sound artist and Composer.
Has been creating edgy works of electronic music and exploring auditory experiences through his unique “spatial composition” with using a 3D sound system as a new instrument .
Founder of “See by Your Ears”, which explores the dormant possibilities in hearing, guided by the concept “seeing with one’s ears.” This project is his subject as an artist and includes his main piece using anechoic chamber, “Otocyon Megalotis” (Sonar+D Spain, 2017), “Our Muse” (Asia Culture Center Korea, 2018), as well as “Acoustic Vessel Odyssey” with digital media artists Kimchi and Chips, a 576-channel sound installation featuring Sony spatial audio technology. Also active in sound production for the stage, screen, and public spaces. These works have garnered numerous awards at events such as the Ars Electronica, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and the Japan Media Arts Festival.
In January 2020, an invisible cinema, “Sea, See, She – To you, who is yet to come.” was world premiered, showing a completely new art form in which each audience visualized their own image by immersing themselves with 70 minutes of 3D sounds in a pitch darkness. It won the Excellence Award of the Japan Media Arts Festival Art Division. And his 3D immersive audio album “Chosho Hakkei in Rittor Base – HPL ver”album ” achieved an honorary mention in the 2021 Prix Ars Electronica’s Digital Music & Sound Art category.
Currently, representative works “Otocyon Megalotis” and “Our Muse” can be experienced at NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC] , Tokyo. (June 24, 2023 – January 14, 2024)
